If you are new to the area or are thinking about coming to Skyline, these smaller groups might be an easy way to get to know us and what we are about.
NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED is a fun and easy way to get to know one another. On the first Monday of every month we show up at a local restaurant and enjoy a no host dinner. On May 4th we are gathering at Captain Nemo's, located at the corner of 40th and Bridgeport Way. We hope to see you. Just show up at 6:30 PM.
MOVIE NIGHT is the second Monday of every month beginning at 7:00 PM in the fellowship hall. Movies are generally classics. Popcorn and soda is provided free of charge.
SUNDAY MORNING ADULT CLASS meets at 9:00 AM Here at the church in the Conference Room. Sandy Price leads this lively class on the same Scripture text that will be preached that morning in worship. Everyone is welcome.
THURSDAY EVENING ADULT CLASS meets at 6:30 PM and is led by retired pastor David Teeter. Each study series explores varies biblical topics. Always informative this class is constantly delving deeper into God's Word. Newcomers are always welcome.
INTERESTED IN JOINING A SMALL GROUP? When Pastor Robyn's Lenten Class ended she asked if people wanted to continue meeting after Easter for Bible Study and Christian support. Based on the positive response, she has two new classes starting. These classes are open to anyone wanting to attend. The Monday night group will begin on May 18th and the Thursday morning group will begin on May 7th. It is our hope that some small groups will spring up from these two study groups as ways to help Skyline adults join in friendship and grow spiritually. MEN'S FELLOWSHIP meets at 7:00 AM Saturday mornings at Forza Coffee on 21st and Pearl. This no host gathering is the perfect opportunity for men to meet together and strengthen their spiritual lives. Contact Mel Latham at mclatham84@hotmail.com
WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP meets the second Wednesday of each month of the school year at 10 AM in the church parlor. All women who are free in the daytime are surely welcome. Friendship, devotional discussion and refreshments are provided.
MONTHLY DAYTIME BOOK CLUB meets the third Wednesday of each month in the school year. The group has enjoyed a wide variety of reads and uses the Pierce County Library for its resource. WOMEN'S CANCER SUPPORT GROUP meets the first Monday of the month in the church Parlor at 1:30 PM. This caring group, of women living with and surviving cancer, offers care and support for all. PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY MINISTRIES gathers Fridays at 1:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Make peanut butter and jam sandwiches to help feed Tacoma's homeless.
