If you are new to the area or are thinking about coming to Skyline, these smaller groups might be an easy way to get to know us and what we are about.
NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED is a fun and easy way to get to know one another. On the first Monday of every month we show up at a local restaurant and enjoy a no host dinner. On May 3rd we are gathering at Carr's Restaurant in Lakewood, located at the corner of 110th and Bridgeport Way. We hope to see you. Just show up at 6:30 PM.
SUNDAY MORNING ADULT CLASS meets at 9:00AM here at the church in the Conference Room. Sandy Price leads this lively class on the same Scripture text that will be preached by Pastor Robyn in our morning worship. Everyone is welcome.
THURSDAY EVENING ADULT CLASS meets at 7:00PM and is led by retired pastor David Teeter. Each study series explores varies biblical topics. Always informative this class is constantly delving deeper into God's Word. Newcomers are always welcome.
WHAT'S SO AMAZING ABOUT GRACE? Pastor Robyn Hogue and Seminarian Shari Monson team teach this Monday night class on Philip Yancey's book What's So Amazing About Grace? Grace is God's gift to the world, but what do we really understand and if we do, then why do we experience and show so little of it?' 7-8PM pn Mondays and 10-11AM on Thursdays. These classes are open to anyone wanting to attend. The Monday night group will begin on May 3rd and the Thursday morning group will begin on May 5th. WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP meets the second Wednesday of each month of the school year at 10 AM in the church parlor. All women who are free in the daytime are surely welcome. Friendship, devotional discussion and refreshments are provided.
MONTHLY DAYTIME BOOK CLUB meets the third Wednesday of each month in the school year. The group has enjoyed a wide variety of reads and uses the Pierce County Library for its resource. WOMEN'S CANCER SUPPORT GROUP meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in the church 1:30-2:30 PM. This caring group, of women living with and surviving cancer, offers care and support for all. SKYLINE KNITTERS We invite all you who knit, and those who would like to learn, to join SKyline Knitters on Saturday Mornings at 10AM. Some are making personal items while many others are knitting caps and scarves that are given to the Tacoma homeless community or cotton bandages sent to ministries with leprosy across the world. CHICK FLICKS! Join us on the third Friday of the onth to enjoy a movie and munchies. The themes of these films teach us about God and how to Him better. Snacks start at 6:30 PM and the show at 7PM For more informatin please call Andrea at 253-922-6372
PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY MINISTRIES gathers Fridays at 1:00 PM in the church. Make peanut butter and jam sandwiches to help feed Tacoma's homeless. All supplies should be available when you get here.
